Life is more interesting off trail … whether you’re flying through the woods on your mountain bike or you’re cutting a new career trail in the depths of the city. Either way, the ride can be bumpy. But it will never be boring. Plus, you’ll usually end up somewhere a lot more intriguing and energizing than anywhere the paved roads can take you. Plus, you’ll have a lot of fun along the way.
That’s why I do it. I go off trail in life. As an adventurer, as a storyteller and as a researcher. My goal is to write articles and stories that show different ways to be and do things. And to dig deep into the biggest political, economic and social problems and issues wherever I am. Most recently I’ve been blazing trails in Latin America and diving into those cultures.
But, in my free time, I’ve also been jotting down notes about my experiences in other places far off. 
The cool part is that I’ve completed a book of travel tales about my time in South Korea and China. Check it out!
