Yeah, it’s time to strap on the old hiking boots and hit the trails … the mostly wickedly vertical trails that kind of aren’t trails, but are more like sort of blue/black diamond rock climbing/scrambling/hiking routes. So stunning that they’ll inspire you to train your butt off if only to be able to reach the top and check out the super sweet views of the Andes. Wow. Only I’ve been too busy scrambling and sweating on the vertical, heart-racing parts of the trails and then gasping for breath at the top to take shots of anything in between, say, the start and the end of the trail. It’s like rock climbing, but without any of the safety gear. Seriously.

Then you have to mix in a little local indigenous culture and what you get is the awesomeness that is southern Peru. Woot! Woot!
